The Diagnostic Statistical Manual by which one is labeled crazy is being re-written to include more normal people in the categories of mental disorder. Mind you, more people have not become mentally ill, simply the broader definitions allow labeling of more persons.
The professional intention of psychiatry is to make insanity inclusive of everyone and treatment mandatory. This is, furthermore, not for scientific but financial considerations: 10s or 100s of billions of dollars in addicting psychotropic drugs out to the market.
This is how it works: the DSM 4, the diagnostic manual of psychiatry conains some 3000 "mental illness" labels derived by vote at the annual APA meeting. It is nothing scientific, yet these now cover enough topics and are so generally worded that just about anyone could be loosely fitted to one or more psychiatric labels as crazy.
The scientific communtiy has noted than when the latest issue of the Diagnostic Manual came out the broadened definitions for ADHD, bipolar disorder and autism contributed to pandemics of the three "disorders". Of course this was more fear and insanity forwarded by the manual than an an actual increase in mental illness.
Scientific concern has been expressed that when the DSM 5 comes out in 2013 it will even further broaden an already excessive manual of unscientific labeling.
The "suggested" (euphemism for required) treatment of any of these diagnstic criteria is one or more of the highly addicting narcotic psychiatric drugs. Highly addicting means built-in profits.
Psychotropics should never be given a psychotic as it in fact worsens the condition. Anyone correctly diagnosed as psychotic can be treated much more successfully with non-drug means. If you happened to be put on psychotropics when you were not psychotic you can expect to be driven so. Such are the side effects of these harmful drugs. The exception is the side effect when the heart stops and there is diagnosis other than death.
Most symptoms which lead to "mental disorder" diagnoses can be remedied by nutritional handlings or simply discovering with standard medical practice what pathology the individual has and remedy this medically.
Dr. Rima E. Laibow, MD, in the link above, has come to be a very active advocate for mental and physical health by safe and natural means rather dubious medical drugging. She is actually trained to be a psychiatrist but 40 years ago denounced the usual psychiatric practices as inhumane. In this she has my agreement. She has an ongoing strong lobby to curtail the legal sanctions that do far more harm than good and for this I recommend support of her.

Public Relations or Bribery?

This news blog reveals an interesting, if unverified, datum:
"The Center for Public Integrity, a nonpartisan watchdog group, conducted an analysis of the pressure applied to politicians during the health care debate and found that 1,750 companies and organizations hired an army of 4,525 lobbyists and spent a jaw-dropping $1.2 billion in lobbying funds to make sure the bill didn't go against their interests. And some of that money is going straight to politicians." Yahoo News
Earlier figures I saw indicated that close to 1/2 of the 4,525 lobbyists were of the 2 groups Big Pharma and the Insurance companies with drug company lobbyists some 1200 of that army. Even if it was 50% for and 50% agin, the winning side of the lobbying finances was a prima facie $600 million.
These figures lead one believe the Health Care Bill was bought and paid for by special interest groups and was evidently a financial windfall for some politicians. We have known this is what happens, however, the large figures are shocking as to what extent the Congressional process has become commercialized.
My concern from my Favoring Life blog is Big Parma so bent on drugging America. The Bill still contains the Mother's Act which will lead to Big Bucks from women pre and post pregnancy onto psychiatric meds. This alone could be worth at least a billion dollars in sales of these addictive drugs.
If you are a pregnant mother do yourself a favor and don't get caught up in the net. Refuse psychiatric evaluation (hence labeling and prescription psych-drugs) if it is suggested for you. Prepare a family member or midwife or your own physician to look after your interests, and please, do not get placed on psychiatric drugs. They are killer.

Two Hours of Life

February 21st, 2009 Mathew Schultz died two hours after birth from prenatal exposure to the psychiatric narcotic antidepressant Effexor. We can expect a lot more of this if the MOTHER's Act gains a foothold.
It works like this.
1) The psychiatrist evaluates someone, a mother pre- or post-natal,
2) invariably a diagnosis includes labelling, from one or more of 3000-plus "diseases" in the DSM II,
3) the psychiatric diagnostic does not include any examination for vitamin deficiencies or pathological causes,
4) a psychotropic drug, ranking at the same level as heroine, is automatically prescribed as the medical handling,
5) the patient becomes addicted to the drug, as it is a schedule II narcotic, and,
6) side effects are experienced considerably worse than the bit of misemotion the mother was experiencing in the first place.
Mathew Schultz is one of the side effects. No remorse or regrets can be expected to come from the prescribing psychiatrist. The drug companies will spend a fortune to convince courts this had nothing to do with them.
Say NO to the MOTHER's Act. It's a killer.

Elly Lilly Pays $1.42B Damages

Elly Lilly has been penalized damages of $1,420,000,000.
Eli Lilly has agreed to pay out the largest settlement in the Department of Justice history -- $1.4 billion dollars -- to settle criminal and civil investigations into the marketing of its antipsychotic drug Zyprexa and has agreed to plead guilty to a federal misdemeanor.
It's only fitting this would be the case, considering how damaging these drugs are. One wonders how many others of the 76 psychotropoic psychiatric drugs now on the market are also manufacturered by Elly Lilly.

A Too-candid Letter to Obama

Really I do try to stay out of politics. That's hard to do when the consequence of political action denies freedoms and rights. Being required by law to the enslavement of addicting highly narcotic psychiatric drugs sends up red flags on the encroachment of life.
Psychiatric diagnosis means labeling means prescription to addictive psychiatric drugs. I have been prompted to blog after the recent news I have heard for which I must protest. I searched but found no way to email Obama from his website but I was able to email McCain. They looked like friends the way they shook hands after the debate so I ask McCain to pass on my letter thus:
Senator McCain:
I was unable to find any "contact us" or email link to Barack Obama on his official site, but you see him around at debates etc. Would you forward this to him for me?
Dear Senator Obama,
Some news was just passed to me that greatly concerns me. No, it actually alarms me.
It was told to me you are stoutly pro-psychiatry, that you have more pro votes for those cronies and even bills you co-sponsored than any other Senator. Like the Mother's Act that you co-sponsored (thank God that one was defeated) to require psychiatric examination and evaluation after and before pregnancy for post partum or pre-post partum depression.
Is this true? Or even partly true? Just wait until the hockey mom hears about this, that she was that close to being prescribed black box labeled psychiatric drugs at her last delivery.
These drugs are addictive narcotics that rank on the drug classifications tables as more severe than cocaine. Make no mistake about it, the goal is not evaluation: it is addiction to their drugs that the psychiatrists want.
It was even told to me that on two score psychiatric related bills favoring psychiatric misdeeds Senator McCain voted No and you voted Yes.
You are possibly too young to remember Segregation brought to us by psychiatry. What a mess that was for decades!
The entire rationale for that era came from a vote with no scientific evidence by the American Psychiatric Association. This "mental health disease" had no basis in fact, yet it was put on the list of all mental heath diseases, the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM), to justify the Segregation Movement.
Brace yourself for burning truth. I'm going to tell you what they named it. "Negroitis". This is NOT A JOKE - it is on the list! This is the rationale that the Segregation laws and support were all based on.
Here is what psychiatrists said "Negroitis" is: it is a "Mental Health Disease" that turns your skin black and you are not cured of it until your skin turns white. Furthermore it could be contagious so blacks must be segregated from whites and not use the same water spigots and public facilities.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
This is not, repeat not, a prank, what I write to you here is documented. The best full documentation of this is with Freedom Magazine, go check it out.
It was a huge joke by the American Psychiatric Association and by it Segregation was put into law. Do you think it stopped there, this charade?
Today we have "ADHD" with no clinical test or scientific support. How about "Mathematics Syndrome"? Check your figures - you might have it! Here's your meds.
If you want a good laugh, get the DSM yourself and read it.
Today the APA has proclaimed the intention to put every school kid in America on their psych-drugs. Where do you think the school shootings come from? This is a published side effect of the now-black-box-labeled narcotic drugs Ritilin, Prosac and others. There is now a whole string of derivatives under different names and all are still as lethal.
Why would the FDA require posting of these warning labels? It 's because the side effects are tendency to violence and increased propensity to suicide. Violence and suicide.
One for one school shootings have been linked to these drugs and psychiatric evaluation. It is a true statistic: the more school kids on these "meds" the more school aged suicides. It is an embracive graph!
Maybe you have been, pardon me for bluntness, ignorant of these facts. Now you know them, if you have read this far in the letter. Really, you're off your rocker to be a friend of psychiatry. I'm sorry, I have to say it like it is.
I had (slightly) considered the idea of voting for you. I have friends who (mistakenly?) want to vote for you. Can you deny these searing rumors, say it isn't so, or denounce psychiatry now?
I must speak out loud and clear against anyone for President who believes any good can come from psychiatry who, by their own admission, has cured no one. Check your facts! And vote the other way.
This pains me. I am so nonpolitical that to now feel compelled to get politically involved and go national with this news is outside my preferences. Act fast I do, however, so I look forward to a rapid response.
